Intellectual Property Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026.
ToetsJeKennis creates all its practice exams, exam questions, explanations, and learning materials itself. Our team writes this content based on the current testing criteria, attainment targets, and legislation. We do not copy questions from official exams or other providers. There are no external trainers who post content on our website. In this policy, you can read how we protect our own content and what you can do if you think something is not right.
Our content belongs to us
All exam questions, explanations, lessons, texts, images, and the structure of our training courses are subject to the copyright of ToetsJeKennis. The ToetsJeKennis brand, our name, and our logo also belong to us.
With an account, you may use our training courses to prepare yourself for your exam. Without our written permission, you are not allowed to:
- copy, store, or download our content other than what is necessary to follow the course;
- share our content with others, for example by passing on login details, screenshots, or exports;
- resell our content or use it on another website, app, platform, or in another curriculum;
- scrape our content automatically or use it to train AI models.
Registered with the Benelux-Bureau voor de Intellectuele Eigendom
To prove that our exam questions and learning materials truly belong to us, we register them with the Benelux-Bureau voor de Intellectuele Eigendom (BOIP) using an i-DEPOT. An i-DEPOT officially records the date on which the content was in our possession and what it looked like at that moment. This allows us to prove in the event of a dispute that we are the creator and since when.
Seen our content somewhere else?
We keep an eye out to see whether our questions and study materials are being used without permission. In the event of an infringement, we ask the party or hosting provider to remove the content and, where necessary, we take legal action, using the i-DEPOT as evidence. If the content is on a website outside the Netherlands or the Benelux, this may take longer, as other countries have different rules.
Have you come across our exam questions or study materials elsewhere? Please let us know via the contact form, including a link or screenshot of where you saw it. You will be helping us enormously.
Do you think we are infringing your copyright?
We create our content ourselves and check it thoroughly. Do you still think there is something on our website that you hold the copyright to? Then read how to report this on the Submit copyright complaint page. We can only handle reports from the rights holder themselves or someone authorised to act on their behalf.
Please note that not everything is protected by copyright. Facts, legal texts, official testing criteria, ideas, and short terms can be used freely. A question about the same statutory rule or the same topic is therefore not an infringement. It concerns the copying of someone's own creative expression.
We review every report and compare it with our own records. If a report turns out to be justified, we will amend the content or take it offline.
Trademarks and exam names
In our training courses, we sometimes mention names of exams, exam boards, or diplomas. We only do this to indicate which exam a course prepares you for. It does not mean that we are affiliated with those organisations or that they created or approved our courses, unless we explicitly state otherwise.
Do you think we are using your trademark in an unauthorised way? Then read how to report this on the Submit trademark complaint page.
False reports
A report of an intellectual property infringement is a serious matter. Anyone who deliberately submits a misleading or false report may be held liable for the damages resulting from it.
